چکیده

To suppress the Pseudo-Gibbs phenomena caused by the Contourlet, the Nonsubsampled Pyramids Filter Banks and the Nonsubsampled Directional Filter Banks are combined to construct the nonsubsampled Contourlet transform (NSCT). Hence, The NSCT not only possess the main features of multi-scale, multi-directional and timefrequency localization, but also offer the property of the shift-invariant which is vital to image processing. Firstly, multi-scale decomposition is performed on source images using NSCT to get high-frequency and low-frequency images. Secondly, the Novel SumModified-Laplacian and Local Neighbour Sum of Laplacian are respectively used to select the lowpass coefficient and highpass coefficients to combine fused image. Finally, the inverse nonsubsampled contourlet transform is applied to obtain fused image. Experimental results show the proposed approach outperform the traditional discrete wavelet transform-based and the Contourlet-based image fusion methods.

The purpose of multi-focus image fusion is gathering the essential information and the focused parts from the input multi-focus images into a single image. These multi-focus images are captured with different depths of focus of cameras. A lot of multi-focus image fusion techniques have been introduced using considering the focus measurement in the spatial domain. However, the multi-focus image ...

Fusion of Thermal Infrared and Visible Images Based on Multi-scale Transform and Sparse Representation

Due to the differences between the visible and thermal infrared images, combination of these two types of images is essential for better understanding the characteristics of targets and the environment. Thermal infrared images have most importance to distinguish targets from the background based on the radiation differences, which work well in all-weather and day/night conditions also in land s...

Digital Camera Image Fusion Algorithm Using Nsct

a novel hybrid multifocus image fusion method. First, the source multifocus images are decomposed using the nonsubsampled contourlet transform (NSCT). The low-frequency sub-band coefficients are fused by the sum-modified-Laplacian-based local visual contrast, whereas the high-frequency sub-band coefficients are fused by the local Log-Gabor energy. The initial fused image is subsequently reconst...
